The melting of glaciers of the Canadian Arctic - a group of islands in the Arctic Ocean, located in northern Canada and western Greenland - revealed places that had been hidden under ice for 40,000 years.

The reason could't be simplier, the Artic might be going through the hottest century of the past 115 000 years due to global warming.
